We are proud to be a school that fully embraces the Leader in Me program. The Leader in Me is Franklin Covey’s whole-child and school transformation process. It is an evidence-based, comprehensive-school improvement model developed in partnership with educators that empowers students. It teaches 21st century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader.
AGA truly believes in our mission statement and strives to help students achieve their potential by encouraging all staff, students and families to use the 7 Habits language regularly. Our mission is to develop active student leaders with creative minds, understanding, compassionate and with the courage to act on their personal beliefs.
AGA does not merely focus on improving test scores, but prides itself on providing opportunities for students to develop their full potential. The Leader in Me is also aligned to many national and state academic standards. The program equips students with the skills needed for academic success in any setting. These skills include critical thinking, goal setting, listening and speaking, self-directed learning, presentation-making and the ability to work in groups.

At Next Academy every student is exposed to the Leader in Me program. We believe that each student has unique gifts and talents. The staff at Next encourages and promotes a learning environment where every student is provided with the opportunity to empower themself by developing leadership and life skills based on the idea that every child can be a leader. At Next we want our students to find their voice.
In Next Academy we believe that leadership and academics go hand in hand. Therefore, we ensure that each student will have the opportunity to develop a variety of skills. Students are exposed on a daily basis to content from The 7 Habits of Happy Kids or The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. The 7 Habits is a synthesis of universal, timeless principles of personal and interpersonal effectiveness, such as responsibility, vision, integrity, teamwork, collaboration and renewal, which are inherent in nature and common to all people and cultures.
the ron Clark Academy House System
Next Academy, will proudly implement the Ron Clark Academy House System, a dynamic model that builds community, teamwork, and school spirit. Every student and staff member is welcomed into one of several “houses,” creating a sense of belonging that extends beyond the classroom.
The House System encourages positive competition, collaboration, and character development. Through shared goals, challenges, and celebrations, students learn the value of leadership, respect, and responsibility while supporting one another as part of a team.
This system transforms school culture into a vibrant, uplifting environment where every child feels connected and empowered. It not only strengthens relationships among students and staff but also fosters pride, motivation, and accountability, helping students grow into confident leaders with a true sense of community.
