At Next Academy, the EPIC values are integral to our mission and vision. EPIC Students are driven by excellence, fueled by passion, grounded in integrity, and guided by strong character. This framework establishes clear expectations for all students and anchors the culture of our school. 

A strict Code of Conduct will be adhered to in order to foster a productive learning environment and promote responsible citizenship. Highly qualified classroom teachers will implement systems of rewards and consequences, following the measures outlined by the Sponsor. Discipline measures will be fair and consistent, employing best-practice techniques that encourage student ownership of behavior. Students will be motivated to take responsibility for their actions, allowing them to learn from their mistakes.

EPIC Student Development is designed to ensure that every learner embodies Excellence, Passion, Integrity, and Character. Teachers and staff will explicitly model and guide students in these areas, linking conduct, academic growth, and leadership to the EPIC values. 

Implementation of the EPIC values will be woven into daily classroom lessons, advisory sessions, and schoolwide events. Through the Leader in Me program, students will practice the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, honing personal responsibility, goal-setting, and leadership skills. The Ron Clark Academy House System will cultivate belonging, teamwork, and accountability, providing students with authentic opportunities to embody the EPIC values. House points and recognition will reinforce positive behavior and collaboration.

Evaluation of EPIC growth will involve measuring student progress in becoming EPIC through reflection journals, teacher observations, behavior data, student-led conferences, and peer feedback. Rubrics aligned with the EPIC values will help track growth in excellence, passion, integrity, and character. Performance within the house system and leadership roles will offer measurable evidence of responsible citizenship and strong character—the foundation of an EPIC student at Next Academy.

Positive Culture Systems at Next Academy are crafted to celebrate student effort and achievement. Recognition assemblies, House rewards, and schoolwide celebrations will highlight EPIC Students who consistently exemplify excellence, passion, integrity, and character.
